Programs and Services for Teams

We've been serving area high school, collegiate and professional sports teams since 1988. We're the official sports medicine provider for the Chesterfield County Schools, schools across Henrico County, the Richmond Flying Squirrels AA baseball the Richmond Kickers USL pro soccer team and the Richmond Kickers youth club. We'll use our vast experience to assist your team in getting ready for the season. And we'll stand with you on the sidelines to help prevent and react to injuries.

Programs and Services for Individual Athletes

With our in-depth knowledge of biomechanics and common sports injuries, we're prepared to help you pursue your favorite activity safely and at your best.

  • Runners - Using advanced Dartfish or MotionPro Video Analysis Software, we can videotape you in action on the treadmill to analyze your gait and running mechanics. We'll help you run injury-free with proper conditioning, mechanics and shoes, including orthotic therapy to deal with foot imbalances and injuries.
  • Cyclists - Our cycling specialists will help you address posture, alignment and neuromusculoskeletal issues while providing treatment and rehab for common cycling strains and injuries. Our services include electromyogram (EMG) nerve conduction tests and therapy for riders with ulnar neuropathy or handlebar palsy. Learn more about electromyography at our online Health Library.
  • Golfers - We'll analyze and provide advice about your swing while helping you overcome the sprains and strains that limit your effectiveness.
  • Dancers - We offer screenings, educational workshops, assessments for en pointe training readiness and evaluations of dance-related injuries.
  • Women athletes - HCA Virginia's sports medicine program for women athletes, led by one of the state's leading female sports medicine physicians, is designed to address gender-related athletic conditioning and injury issues and help women perform at their highest level.
  • Athletes over 50 - Learn about our specialized program to help athletes over age 50 remain healthy and competitive.
